Where do I park?
We offer complimentary valet parking to our guests Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 10:00pm and Saturday & Sunday from 9:30am to 10:00pm. If you prefer to self-park, we can validate parking in the Pinnacle garage for up to 3 hours. Please note that when the rates are set for event parking and an attendant is accepting cash upon entry, we cannot validate or refund for parking in the garage.
Are reservations required?
Reservations are highly recommended, but not required. We have a full-service bar area as well as first come, first serve tables available on our patio, weather permitting. Please keep in mind that there may be a wait if you are visiting us without reservations. To make a reservation online, click here. Can I call ahead and put my name on the wait list?
Because downtown Nashville is a great place to do a bit of exploring, we try to accommodate the city’s heavy foot traffic and therefore do not take call ahead requests. However, please come on in! We have a wonderful oyster and cocktail bar to enjoy while you wait for a table.
Can I make a last-minute change to my reservation?
We recommend that you email or text our host stand at firstname.lastname@example.org to let them know if have a change in number of guests or time of your reservation. We also offer a 15-minute grace period for late reservations, but will need to be notified if your arrival time will be later than the grace period. When you notify us, please be sure to include your reservation name and any other relevant information. You may also call the host stand at 615-724-1762.
We wish to have a more quiet/semi-private table. Is this possible?
The Southern offers a lively environment for our guests every day of the week. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, the layout of our restaurant does not offer semi-private tables. If you are interested in booking a private room, those options are available as well. More details are available on our Private Events page
Do you have a private room?
We have several options for private dining at The Southern. Our Demonbreun Room, as well as our newly-opened Southernaire Market, are available seven days a week. Please click here for more information.
Can you accommodate separate checks?
We can accommodate up to 6 separate checks for large groups. Please plan accordingly.
How do I request a copy of my itemized receipt?
We are happy to provide you with an additional receipt. Please click here to fill out a request form.
How can I retrieve a lost item/credit card?
If you believe you have lost an item, please email the details of that item to email@example.com and we will get back with you shortly. You may also call the restaurant at 615-724-1762.
I want to bring my own cake and/or bottle of wine. Are there any fees for this?
You are more than welcome to bring your own wine and/or cake. We have a $20 corkage/cake cutting fee for each item you bring.
Can I pay for the food and/or a bottle of wine for an upcoming reservation?
You may purchase meals or alcohol for an upcoming reservation. Please email your request and cell phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org. For time-sensitive purchases, please contact a manager at 615-724-1762.
Can I place a to-go order?
Absolutely! Please call us at 615-724-1762 to place an order with one of our hosts.
I am having issues with your online gift certificates. Help!
We utilize OpenTable for all online gift certificate purchases. If you have any problems with your order, you may contact their customer support department at 1-800-OPENTABLE. You may also purchase a physical gift card by visiting our online store.
Do you have a gluten-free or allergy-free menu?
We currently do not have a specific gluten-free or allergy-free menu, but our highly-trained staff are able to prepare most of our items to accommodate your needs – simply let your server know upon being seated.
What is the Southernaire Market?
We’re glad that you asked! The newest addition to our TomKats family and is conveniently located directly behind our restaurant, at the corner of 2nd Ave S and Demonbreun. Our neighborhood grocery store and specialty market includes: fresh meat and seafood from our butcher shop, made-to-order paninis, sandwiches, soups and salads from our deli, local and craft beer, Drew’s Brews coffee, ice cream, gifts, apparel, local art, and more!
